The Next CMU High-Level Expert Group report was published on 9 October. The group is composed of experts from Italy (which is represented by the Vice Director General of Assonime, Marcello Bianchi), Germany, France, Holland, Spain, Poland and Sweden. The report will be presented to ECOFIN on 10 October.
The group of experts was tasked by the Finance Ministers of the major countries of the European Union to propose a strategy to accelerate the integration of the European capital market five years after the launch of the Capital Markets Union (CMU), the package of EU measures aimed to diversify funding, mobilise capital and create a single capital market.
